India has several engineering entrance exams beyond JEE Main. You've got BITSAT for Pilani and Goa campuses, VITEEE for VIT, MANIPAL for Manipal University, and state-level exams like KCET and COMEDK depending on where you want to study. Each has its own pattern and colleges, so exploring them early helps you pick the right fit.

JEE Main is the first stage exam that opens doors to NITs, IIITs, and other engineering colleges. JEE Advanced is tougher and only for those who clear Main, and it is your shot at the IITs. Main happens in January and April, while Advanced is in May. Think of Main as your gateway and Advanced as the premium tier.

JEE Main is a computer-based test with two papers: Paper 1 for engineering colleges (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) and Paper 2 for architecture programs. Paper 1 has 90 questions (30 per subject), 3 hours, with multiple choice and numeric answer types. The exam is held multiple times a year so you can attempt it more than once.

JEE Main poori country mein NITs, IIITs aur private engineering colleges ke liye hai, aur zyada chances milte hain. JEE Advanced sirf top 2.5 lakh JEE Main qualifiers de sakte hain, aur bas IITs mein admission ke liye. Advanced zyada tough hota hai. Engineering lena hai to dono prep karne padenge.
